Yes. Anyone who is under the age of 16, requires dental treatment, is allergic to peroxide or is on photosensitising medication is advised against treatment. Anyone who is pregnant or breast-feeding is not allowed to have this treatment. If you are not sure if this treatment is right for you, we recommend you consult with your dentist before using any tooth whitening system.

Absolutely. Whitening systems like Mirror Mirror’s that use a low percentage of hydrogen peroxide are perfectly safe for teeth and gums when applied by a trained professional.

No, that’s not possible. Some people’s teeth might not respond to whitening at all which could be because you have little or no enamel left on the teeth, while other people might see results for just a few short days.

A treatment with us takes about 1 and a half to 2 hours. This includes a consultation, setup, treatment, aftercare instructions and pack-up. Group bookings can take a little longer.

Your technician will provide all your aftercare instructions at the end of your appointment. Keep in mind you will need to follow a strict white food diet for 48-72 hours post-treatment to allow the pores of your teeth to close so they don’t re-stain. 

No. Brushing right before the whitening procedure is NOT recommended as it can cause the pores in the teeth enamel to become blocked with fillers, resulting in inferior results. Your last brush should be at least 1 hour before treatment.

Teeth whitening works best on teeth free of plaque and tartar. We recommend visiting your dentist for a general clean at least 2 weeks before your treatment with us.

Your treatment can last anywhere between 3-12 months depending on your lifestyle. We recommend a top-up treatment every 3 months to maintain your white smile.

We recommend whitening with Invisalign brackets only if you have at least 6 months to go with your braces treatment. If you have less than that timeframe, we recommend you wait until after the removal of your braces. As always, consult with your ortho if you have any concerns.

You may experience minor sensitivity while having the treatment and 1-2 days after.

We always practice good hygiene and use protective equipment, including gloves. All of our equipment is disinfected before and after every appointment.

If you have veneers or existing caps or crowns our whitening treatment can only reach their original whitest colour.

If you have been told you require a cap or a crown it is best to get your teeth whitened first. This way, restoration work that needs to be done can be matched to your new, whitest possible natural teeth colour.
